Patssy Higuchi Fernández

Nace en Lima, Perú el 4 de octubre de 1972. Vive y trabaja en Lima.

En 1989 ingresa a la Escuela Nacional Superior Autónoma de Bellas Artes del Perú, donde sigue la Especialidad de Dibujo y Pintura egresando en 1994.

De 1993 a 1999 Funda y es editora de Cauri- Taller de Gráfica Experimental. Lima, Perú. Durante los años 2000 al 2002 y el 2007 es invitada a producir su obra en el Taller Experimental de Gráfica de La Habana, Cuba.

Ha realizado diversas exposiciones colectivas e individuales a nivel local e internacional, principalmente en Lima y La Habana. Entre ellas las individuales: Así se toman las medidas. Galería Punctum (Lima, 2003), Fragmentaria, tomo I. Casa Museo Oswaldo Guayasamín (La Habana, 2017), Las Preguntas. Sala Luis Miró Quesada Garland (Lima, 2017 – 2018), Mapa Doméstico. En 2001 participó en la VII Edición del Premio la Joven Estampa de Casa de las Américas, La Habana, Cuba obteniendo una mención. En 2022 obtuvo una Mención en el XIII Concurso Nacional de Pintura del Banco Central de Reserva del Perú. En 2004 participó en La Bienal Internacional de Pintura Cuenca: Museo de la Medicina, Cuenca, Ecuador y en 2022 participa en la 14 Bienal de la Habana, Futuro y contemporaneidad: Regreso al porvenir. Estación Cultural Línea y 18. La Habana, Cuba.

In 1989, she enrolled at the Escuela Nacional Superior Autónoma de Bellas Artes del Perú, and went for a painting and drawing degree, graduating in 1994. Founder and current editor of Cauri, an experimental graphic workshop located in Lima since 1993. Between 2000 and 2002, she was invited to produce her work at the Experimental Graphic Workshop in La Habana, Cuba, returning in 2007.

She has participated in several exhibitions, both collective and individual, at local and international levels, mainly in Lima and La Habana. Individual exhibitions: Parto normal. [Normal delivery]. Patssy Higuchi took part in the Cuenca International Painting Biennial (Museum of Medicine, Cuenca, Ecuador, 2004); and in the 14th La Habana Biennial, Future and Contemporary: Return to the Future (Cultural Station Line and 18. La Habana, Cuba, 2022).
